====== Domain Names ======

We don't maintain SLUUG.ORG authoratative DNS records on our own systems. It's a lot easier to maintain them using a hosted solution. This page documents how we do that and where our domain names are registered.

===== Names We Own =====

We own the following domain names:
  * sluug.org
  * stllinux.org (currently registered somewhere else, I think)

If we get off our butts, we should also own:
  * stllug.org

===== Domain Registration =====

Our domain names are registered at Dotster.

We have the registrar pointed at EveryDNS's name servers:
  * ns1.everydns.net
  * ns2.everydns.net
  * ns3.everydns.net
  * ns4.everydns.net

Craig Buchek and Gary Meyer have the account info for Dotster. If you can't find it, you can have them email it to our ''domains'' account.

===== Domain Name Records =====

[[http://www.everydns.net | EveryDNS]] hosts our DNS records. They've got a nice web front-end that makes it fairly easy to maintain. They appear to be the only free web-based site remaining. The site is run by David Ulevitch, a former SLUUG/STLLUG member.
