• Mike Knight found evidence of intrusion on Bud on February 23.
  • Attacker had broken into 2 accounts.
  • SSH daemon was compromised and recording passwords.
• Craig and Mike removed the damage as much as possible.
  • They could not be certain that a rootkit was not installed, however.
• Craig rebuilt the server on March 2.
