Since we have several operating systems from different sources and different eras, there are differences in their capabilities and configuration.  Some are installed for different purposes, so the activities they can be used for will differ as well.  We have a [[server_diffs|server differences page]] to capture known major differences that will affect normal users.

Except as noted, the documentation applies to all SLUUG systems.  Some commands might not be available on all systems.
