Domain Names
We don't maintain SLUUG.ORG authoratative DNS records on our own systems. It's a lot easier to maintain them using a hosted solution. This page documents how we do that and where our domain names are registered.
Names We Own
We own the following domain names:
- sluug.org
- stllinux.org (currently registered somewhere else, I think)
If we get off our butts, we should also own:
- stllug.org
Domain Registration
Our domain names are registered at Dotster.
We have the registrar pointed at EveryDNS's name servers:
- ns1.everydns.net
- ns2.everydns.net
- ns3.everydns.net
- ns4.everydns.net
Craig Buchek and Gary Meyer have the account info for Dotster. If you can't find it, you can have them email it to our domains account.
Domain Name Records
EveryDNS hosts our DNS records. They've got a nice web front-end that makes it fairly easy to maintain. They appear to be the only free web-based site remaining. The site is run by David Ulevitch, a former SLUUG/STLLUG member.
Craig Buchek, Stan Reichardt, Carl Fitch, Gary Meyer, and Mike Knight have the account info for EveryDNS.
