JOBS Mailing List

  • Historically SLUUG had discouraged postings of jobs on our mailing lists.
    • Such job postings could be perceived as SPAM.
  • With drastically lower member employment, job postings have been considered acceptable.
  • Ideally SLUUG would offer something to paid sponsors and receive credit and compensation.
  • 2012-06 Jeff Muse volunteered to create a JOBS mailing list.
    • We'll also add an archive of the list on the web.
  • 2012-07 (late June) Jeff had indicated earlier that there were problems. Nothing additional reported.
  • 2012-08 Jeff has been AWOL

    • See what happens instead of beating our heads against the wall.
  • 2012-10 List is up, 14 people are signed up. Seems to be going OK.
  • 2012-11

Pamphlets

  • 2012-04 - Stan R with considerable help from Christine Wanta has produced a pamphlet on Free Open Source Software (FOSS).
