      • ABSTRACT: NO
      • BIO: Used SLUUG BIO link for Stan (once main page was done next day)
      • SCHEDULED NOT DONE: Programmable Gate Arrays vs ASICS vs RealTime Linux by Bryce Meyer
      • REVIEW:
        • Last month Stan had mentioned VeraCrypt, successor to Truecrypt. Tuesday afternoon, scheduled speaker was to be out of town.
        • SLUUG home page was NOT updated, Stan didn't have time.
        • SLUUG google calendar MAIN topic was updated.
        • SLUUG meetup MAIN topic was updated.
        • Was MAIN topic announced on DISCUSS or ANNOUNCE mailing list?
        • The 3rd floor HDMI projector system would not produce sound for the detailed 22 minute video about VeraCrypt. Maybe configuration issue?
        • Too short a time to produce relevant slides, so Stan winged it using previous TrueCrypt slides from 2012 presentation.
        • :?: Resulting compare and contrast quality was excellent/fair/poor/bad?.
        • Gary: Slides worked out just fine with old slides. First time sound projector has been a problem, however we seldom use sound projection.

      • REVIEW:
        • Gary Meyer was not there. Stan R did poor job of introduction.

        • Waitress got applause for her improved coverage.
        • Frank Siler (in StL about a year) had told Gary he intended to be there. Frank LOVED the 101!!! Had missed the 102 but wanted to see the recording. Said putting the recordings onto YuTube or Vimeo was "easy". Gary wonders if he could be recruited to assist in this effort. He said he would attend this 103. Did he?
        • Bill Molchan attended his 1st SLUUG at the Wed. Craig helped Gary encourage him. Said he'd be there for 103. Did he make it?
        • Did Grant from MicroCenter show up. He told Gary he would.

      • Did install of LinuxMint Cinnamon 19.1 for one first time attendee on a problematic ACER laptop.
      • Laptop BIOS/UEIF did not appear to accept changes; finally, USB thumb drive installation booted and updated successfully anyway.
      • One NEWCOMER video USB drive was returned, one copied while there and one loaned out.
      • Was able to use library's HDMI projector connection. Did not have to use our projector.
      • Gave out a few of the new handouts.
