COORDINATOR: Gary
CONFIRMED: Yes
ABSTRACT: NO, advance draft of slides received.
BIO: NO, Stan made up short blurb.

MAIN (Enterprise Computing):
VeraCrypt by Stan Reichardt
BACKUP: VeraCrypt presentation was used!
COORDINATOR: Gary
CONFIRMED: Tuesday Afternoon
ABSTRACT: NO
BIO: Used SLUUG BIO link for Stan (once main page was done next day)
SCHEDULED NOT DONE: Programmable Gate Arrays vs ASICS vs RealTime Linux by Bryce Meyer
REVIEW:
Last month Stan had mentioned VeraCrypt, successor to Truecrypt. Tuesday afternoon, scheduled speaker was to be out of town.
SLUUG home page was NOT updated, Stan didn't have time.
SLUUG google calendar MAIN topic was updated.
SLUUG meetup MAIN topic was updated.
Was MAIN topic announced on DISCUSS or ANNOUNCE mailing list?
The 3rd floor HDMI projector system would not produce sound for the detailed 22 minute video about VeraCrypt. Maybe configuration issue?
Too short a time to produce relevant slides, so Stan winged it using previous TrueCrypt slides from 2012 presentation.
Resulting compare and contrast quality was excellent/fair/poor/bad?.
Gary: Slides worked out just fine with old slides. First time sound projector has been a problem, however we seldom use sound projection.
STLLUG - June 20

VENUE Nick and Elena's Pizzeria, 3007 Woodson Rd, Overland, MO 63114

TOPIC: Docker 103 SSL Certificates for containerized websites by Chuck Doolittle
COORDINATOR: Gary
CONFIRMED: Yes
ABSTRACT: NO
BIO: Used existing link
REVIEW:
Gary Meyer was not there. Stan R did poor job of introduction.
Steve Gomez seemed to be really into the subject.
Waitress got applause for her improved coverage.
Frank Siler (in StL about a year) had told Gary he intended to be there. Frank LOVED the 101!!! Had missed the 102 but wanted to see the recording. Said putting the recordings onto YuTube or Vimeo was "easy". Gary wonders if he could be recruited to assist in this effort. He said he would attend this 103. Did he?
Bill Molchan attended his 1st SLUUG at the Wed. Craig helped Gary encourage him. Said he'd be there for 103. Did he make it?
Did Grant from MicroCenter show up. He told Gary he would.

Gary would love to get a presentation on status of the servers, featuring Mike, Chuck, Lee
Another possibility would be Lee could give a presentation on massive data recovery being performed evening of 2019-04-29
Dave has noticed different handling of possible spam by SLUUG email system, and would like presentation on evolution of the email system.
Dave & Stan would like long 'spammy' tag not inserted into subject line on SLUUG STEERCOM emails
From Mike Knight's email 3:31am 2019-04-28:
1 QUESTION: Should the "Subject:" of probable sp_m be changed to indicate that?
2 QUESTION: Should high scoring sp_m be rejected and returned to sender?
3 QUESTION: Should moderate scoring sp_m be moved to a "junk" folder of the member's inbox by the system?

Lee: no updates this month. ClamAV & SpamAssassin are running, SA is giving scores, but up to user to decide what to do with them.
Gary: good that things are running, but would be nice to get a presentation on what is there and what it does. Would be good for everyone to realize what's been done to make things work.
