SLACC usually holds a

Stan: fewer people than expected, may be perception due to newcomer LUG. Familiar faces from last 8-9 years.

STLLUG - June 18
STLLUG is the St. Louis Linux Users Group.
No physical meeting until further notice
We don't yet know when we will be able to have physical meeting
We want to have alternate topic on hand if primary speaker doesn't show.
STLLUG:
STATUS: Done
WHAT: Ethereum/VeChain Supply Chain
BY: Brendan Laiben, from OCI
SYNOPSIS: A brief sketchy summary goes here.
WRANGLER: Rich Seibel
ABSTRACT: NO
BIO: NO
REMARKS:
We do not have an alternative (secondary) topic on hand.
Lee: Very Interesting
Dave: Agrees.
Stan: Didn't talk about bitcoin.
Gary: Very honest. Takes 10-100x resources as database.
Dave: Lot of problems getting agreement between supplier and sub. This can be effective solution. Needs increased data entry workforce, contract grows much larger. A whole new paradigm for construction process.
Gary disappointed with attendance. Had tried to attract blockchain enthusiasts, but no results. Contacted Meetups and Discuss lists. Blockchain session only had one or two we didn't recognize.
NEWLUG - June 23
NEWLUG Our Linux Users Group for Linux Newcomers.
No physical meeting until further notice
TOPICS are usually determined by attendees. We usually cover more than one topic.
Stan: Might be confusing with SLACC, but a guy had problems and could only do chat until he did the install. Phil & Stan did one-on-one Friday. Used Jitsi and got him going. Didn't record, so can't remember who it was. Confirmed. This was SLACC, not NewLUG.
STEERCOM - June 29
Meeting Schedule
SUMMARY:
We try to track prospects to give presentations at our SLUUG General meeting and LINUX meetings.
We try to segregate topic types as either BASE, MAIN or LINUX, with BASE and MAIN given at the SLUUG General meeting.
We always want to have alternative topics on hand if primary speaker doesn't show.
We want BASE topics that are oriented toward simpler Personal Computing. Short is good.
We want MAIN topics that are oriented more toward advanced or Enterprise Computing.
LINUX topics could be either at the General meeting or at the St. Louis Linux Users Group (STLLUG) meetings.
Gary will continue to explore different computer manufacturers (ex: Cray) who might be able to do presentation "Where are they now?"

Server Admin
SUMMARY: We put up a server on the Internet for email, it grew, and now we have to maintain it.
# cat /etc/cron.daily/checkcert

Automated renewal system crashed Christmas day 2019 and didn't recover. Mike has adjusted it to work properly and it appears to work as of March 2020; appears to have worked for June instance.
2020-06-01
Lee said limited bandwidth of transfers was issue as to where we would put recordings.
Mike Knight is investigating why SLUUG was being throttled by Google. Possibly something to do with the SLUUG SPF record being regarded as "suspicious" by Google.

ANNOUNCE Mailing List
SUMMARY: As a historical descendant of our monthly newsletter, the ANNOUNCE mailing had been a weekly extract of our SLUUG GOOGLE Calendar of Events.
Previous editors had also styled it less of 1 liners of the entire calendar and more of abstracts of OUR talks & outstanding interest items.
